Review Fix: How did you guys get together?
Nick Wold: Nelson and I started the band in Brooklyn, and Jacob joined us in LA. I had been in another band which broke up and was writing a whole bunch of music while living in my practice space. We all had been in bands before, and got together to make a better, wiser band.
Review Fix: How would you describe your sound?
Wold: We try not to describe it too much and let the journalists do that for us, listen to it! It is definitely rock and roll, and pop.
Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?
Wold: For this album I wrote most of the material, and co-wrote with some amazing other artists (James Iha, Atlas Genius). Now that we are a fully formed band we’ll be writing more all together in the future.
Review Fix: Who influences you guys musically?
Wold: We have so many musical influences, mostly rock bands of some type or another from every decade going back to the ’60s. Beatles and Hendrix, Iggy and the Stooges, then from the ‘80s we love Tears For Fears,Talking Heads and The Smiths and the Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots of the ‘90s grunge thing. Our album is a hodgepodge of our favorite styles.
Review Fix: How does it feel to be playing NYC this summer?
Wold: It feels great to be back. NYC is really my favorite place on earth. I forgot how hot is here though, wowza.
Review Fix: What are your goals for the rest of the year?
Wold: We are releasing our album, a ton of videos, and we plan on continuing to tour throughout the year all over the US.
Review Fix: What’s your standout song? How was it written?
Wold: We love all the songs, but right now are really excited about one called “Sweet Disaster.†It was a simple song written about a night I had drinking champagne with my girlfriend, about how it feels to wash away in a feeling.
Review Fix: Bottom line, why should someone listen to this album?
Wold: It’s sincere.
Review Fix: What’s next?
Wold: More and more. We are lifers, and  can never quit. Now that this album is done we’re excited to start writing again.
