Impact Wrestling Coverage: Edwards and Hardy Boys Retain

Don’t let the tiny card fool you. With plenty of promo and plenty of solid in-ring action, this was an enjoyable episode of Impact that never thrilled but certainly entertained.

Matches:

Impact Grand Champion Aron Rex vs. Jessie Godderz: Rex lost the first two rounds, but Rex used the rings on his fist and some type of substance on his towel to blind and then knockout Godderz.

Team X-Gold: Go For Broke: Mandrews, Braxton Sutter and X-Division Champion Zema Ion vs. Trevor Lee, Andrew Everett and Marshe Rocket vs. Rockstar Spud and Decay: Abyss ad Crazy Steve: A wacky match that saw the ref “eject” Steve and Abyss after they refused to cover Everett and took longer than the five seconds to get in and out of the ring. With Spud left by himself, Sutter hit the Little Jimmy for the win.

TNA Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy w/Reby Sky vs. Team CDC: The match got thrown out as all five competitors beat on one another until the brawl continued to the ramp and behind the set. With more wacky camera work and spots, it appears Matt, after taking a spill off a forklift, has forgotten who he is.

TNA World Champion Eddie Edwards vs. Bobby Lashley: This was a war that Lashley dominated, but Edwards continued to fight back throughout. But with the referee out thanks to Lashley, the challenger hit the Spear, but there was no one to count. Once the new ref hit the ring, Edwards kicked out and Lashley knocked out the referee. When Brian Hebner composed himself, he and Lashley argued and Edwards hit the Boston Knee Party for the win thanks to a fast count.
