WWE RAW Coverage: A Slow Show Before Super Showdown

The WWE was so busy trying to promote their Australian Super Showdown that they forgot to book a decent episode of RAW. Mainly used to develop the war between The Shield and Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, the rest of the show was all filler. Not even a Shawn Michaels promo and appearance by Kane and The Undertaker at the end of the show could save the sub-par show.

Matches:

Dean Ambrose vs. Braun Strowman: This match got thrown out and Strowman won via DQ when Roman Reigns hit Strowman with the Superman Punch and Seth Rollins hit the Flying Knee.

Non-Title: Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler: Reigns won with a massive Spear, but Ziggler nearly stole it with heel tactics and plenty of offense.

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey w/Nikki and Brie Bella vs. Ruby Riott w/Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan: Riott more than held her own here. Riott almost won on a few occasions as well before Rousey won with the Spinning Death Valley Driver and the Armbar.

Bobby Roode w/Chad Gable vs. Konnor w/Viktor: Roode hit the Blockbuster, but interference from Viktor allowed Konnor to hit the Dominator Side Slam for the win.

The B-Team: Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas vs. The Revival: Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson: Dallas won with a surprise Rollup, but after the bell, The Authors of Pain destroyed them with the Super Collider.

Drew McIntyre vs. Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins: Ziggler interfered enough to allow McIntyre to hit the Claymore for the win. After the match, Reigns hit the ring to even things out, but so did Braun Strowman. While Ambrose took out McIntyre and Ziggler with an Ax Handle, Strowman and company were too much.

Kevin Owens w/Elias Sampson vs. Bobby Lashley w/ Lio Rush: Owens got the win and after Elias and Owens beat on Rush.

Bayley w/Finn Balor vs. Alicia Foxx w/Jinder Mahal: Bayley got the win with the Belly-to Bayley in an average encounter.
