WWE RAW Coverage: Reigns is Back, Happy Birthday Ric

The birthday celebration of Ric Flair felt forced and away from an awesome Finn Balor match and Roman Reigns’ announcement that his cancer is in remission and a Becky Lynch appearance, this week’s RAW was a complete wash.

Wait a second. Batista’s return was an awesome one and a moment that absolutely saved this week’s RAW from being a disaster. If you’re not excited about the thought of a Batista/Triple H match at Wrestlemania, you’re crazy.

Matches:

Aleister Black and Ricochet vs. and WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder: Black dominated (while Ricochet hit a few high flying spots) and got the win with the Black Mass in a mega short encounter.

Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan w/Ruby Riott vs. WWE RAW WOmen’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Natalya Neidhart: This was a no-contest wafter Becky Lynch interfered. After the match, it appeared Rousey relinquished the RAW Women’s Championship after Stephanie MCMahon refused to reinstate Lynch.

Jinder Mahal w/The Singh Bros vs. Kurt Angle: A waste of time as Angle got the quick win with the Ankle Lock.

Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor vs. Lio Rush: Best match of the night, but lengthier then expected. Rush was stellar throughout and worked on Balor’s leg, but the former leader of The Bullet Club won with the 1916, followed by the Coup De Grace.

Bobby Lashley w/Lio Rush vs. Braun Strowman: A no-contest as Strowman destroyed Lashley and Lio Rush on the outside.

No DQ: Drew McIntyre vs. Dean Ambrose: Interference from Elias allowed McIntyre to get the win and after the bell, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Eilias joined McIntyre  before Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns made the save.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Bayley w/Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax w/Tamina Snuka: After Banks took out Snuka on the outside, Bayley took advantage and won with the Top Rope Elbow.
