WWE RAW Results: A New Direction

With a ton of new faces, RAW tried to establish a new direction with Money in the Bank just a few weeks away. With a new #1 contender and Bray Wyatt’s new gimmick, that’s exactly what happened.

One of Two Triple Threats to Crown a Number One Contender for Universal Title: AJ Styles vs. Rey Mysterio vs. United States Champion Samoa Joe: Joe was dominant but could but wither away with the Kokina Clutch and Styles got the win on him with the Styles Clash. 

Naomi vs. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Billie Kay w/Peyton Royce: In spite of interference, Naomi won with a Rollup. 

Two of Two Triple Threats to Crown a #1 Contender to the Universal Title: The Miz vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Baron Corbin: After McIntyre finished off Miz with a Claymore, Corbin snuck in and stole the win. 

The Lucha House Party: Kalistp, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik vs. NXT Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders: Erik and Ivar: A no-contest but definitely a show of strength for the former ROH stars. 

Becky Lynch vs. Alicia Fox: Lynch won with the Disamor but Lacey Evans knocked her out to end the segment. 

Robert Roode vs. Ricochet: Roode got the clean win with Glorious DDT in a pure shocker. 

Winner Becomes #1 Contender for the Universal Championship: AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin: Styles countered the End of Days  into the Calf Crusher and then won with Phenomenal Forearm.
