The weekend will also feature many demonstrations and discussions at the Creative Stage, as well as numerous local Oregon creators.
Greater Portland creators on hand include Mitzi Fordyce (sculptures/jewelry), Tayler Howard (illustrations), Dezra Otto (Disney, Motion Logic Studios), Christopher Levin (graphic design, illustrations), Michael Flynn (graphic art/retro), Brad Eastburn (Lucky Comics, video game art), Celeste Ingalls (original art prints, stickers), Collin Schlicht (“Jak and Daxter,” Hero Complex Gallery), Kate Patrick (illustrations), Becca Wilson (Geek it Up Portland, pop culture pillows), Alexander Burrows (illustrations, fantasy art), Melissa Kaylor (pixel art, plush toys), Misty Figueredo (sculptures).
Wizard World Portland will also include non-stop live entertainment, gaming, exclusive Q&A sessions with select celebrities and autographs/photo ops with top stars such as “Smallville†headliners Tom Welling (“Clark Kentâ€), Michael Rosenbaum (“Lex Luthorâ€), Erica Durance (“Lois Laneâ€), John Glover (“Lionel Luthorâ€) and Laura Vandervoort (“Kara/Supergirlâ€), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Dylan McDermott (“American Horror Story,†“The Practiceâ€) and James Marsters (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,†“Vidiotsâ€), Chandler Riggs (“The Walking Dead,†“A Million Little Thingsâ€), Robin Lord Taylor (“Gothamâ€), Craig Parker (Lord of the Rings, “Spartacusâ€), Nick Zano (“Legends of Tomorrow,†Minority Report), Holly Marie Combs (“Charmed,†“Pretty Little Liarsâ€) and more, along with Wizard World’s Master of Ceremonies, Kato Kaelin.
Wizard World events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop culture: movies, television, gaming, live entertainment, comics, sci-fi, graphic novels, toys, original art, collectibles, contests and more. The second event scheduled on the 2020 Wizard World calendar, Portland show hours are Friday, January 24, 4-9 p.m.; Saturday, January 25, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, January 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Kids 10 and under are admitted free with paid adult.
Wizard World Portland is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor and participate in the famed Wizard World Costume Contest on Saturday evening.
