Into the Heart of Brooklyn’s Coziest Kitchen

You wouldn’t expect a place in the heart of Bensonhurst Brooklyn to be the home of a trendy Bay Ridge-esque bar and a Park Slope-type eatery, right? That being said, you certainly wouldn’t expect them to be in the same place either. Especially with a seemingly local landmark like the Vegas Diner down the street and the always popular Outback Steakhouse across the street.

Nonetheless, that’s exactly what Jamie-Lynn’s Kitchen is, as it manages to amalgamate a cool bar setting with a cozy diner, all in one posh location, all without breaking your wallet, resulting in yummies all around.

With an excellent menu, comfortable décor and food that makes you feel at home, it’s fair to say that Jamie-Lynn and company aren’t the least bit afraid of the local competition.

The way it seems right now at least, they are one of the best eateries in the borough.

With a full array of sandwiches, appetizers, ranging from chicken parmesan wontons to boneless buffalo wings, pasta, quesadillas, steaks, paninis, wraps, seafood and salad, there’s something for everyone at Jamie-Lynn’s. With daily specials as well, which could be something as mouth-watering as a warmly baked knish, stuffed to the brim with meat loaf, drenched in sweet and tangy Worcestershire sauce and beef gravy, how can you go wrong?

Cooked to perfection, the food at Jamie-Lynn’s doesn’t leave you bloated or feeling disgusting after either. Rather, a feeling of content takes over your tummy, telling you that you’ve had enough. Once the digestion process begins, you’ll be able to enjoy the décor or even sit back and enjoy the game on one of the flat-screens at the bar, which too, is solid.

This ability, to be in one section of the establishment, eating, yet not too far away from the hustle and bustle of the bar, give Jamie-Lynn’s the feeling that you’re home.

If that doesn’t do it for you, the fact that the kitchen itself is enclosed within a little house inside, will.

Equipped with a glass-less window so you can see right in and a nifty looking roof, this element of the eatery is a charming extra touch. Add in a courteous and charming staff and it’s easy to see that this is a place you’ll want to come back to.

For those looking to have a big dinner that won’t cramp their style, dinner, with an appetizer and dessert, at Jamie-Lynn’s will run you around 35 dollars.

Considering the price of dinner of the surrounding competition to be in the same area, Jamie-Lynn’s is worth at least a try, even if you’re into a more commercial dining experience. Those however, looking for a nice night out, with some great food, in a comfortable setting, should look no further.
