Six matches and a ton of promo laid the foundation for Summerslam, even if it doesn’t appear that way. At this point, the RAW Creative Team is all about the slow burn of Randy Orton killing off former legends, but he needs a title shot announced now. Seth Rollins as well is being wasted in the mid-card and needs a real dance partner. A scary thought that the Women’s Division is the best thing on the show, even if creative doesn’t know how to build that either.
Matches:
Seth Rollins w/Buddy Murphy vs. Aleister Black: It took a while, but Rollins won with the Stomp and after he and Murphy beat on The Dutch Destroyer.
Bobby Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin vs. Cedric Alexander, Ricochet, Mustafa Ali: Ali ended up as a huge spark plug and guided his team to victory with a Neckbreaker and a 450.
Ruby Riott vs. Peyton Royce: Riott wasted no time and won with the Riott Kick.
RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits: Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins vs. Andrade and Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega: Ford got the win for his team with the Frog Splash in the non-title brawl.
Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley w/Sasha Banks vs. Kairi Sane w/Asuka: Excellent match that saw Sane Rollup the champion on a Belly-to-Bayley counter.
Randy Orton vs. The Big Show: It took Orton two RKOs to win, but he did and he kicked out of a Chokeslam during the match. When it was over, Orton nailed Show with a Punt.
