With more Sting, a sit-down interview with Shaq- it would be too easy for detractors to say AEW is the new WCW. But with excellent in-ring work and the building of several solid storylines, AEW isn’t the new WCW, it’s the best of old-WCW-styled wrestling, but for a new generation.

TH2: Angelico and Jack Evans vs. AEW World Tag Team Champions: The Young Bucks: Matt and Nick Jackson: This was a war/spot fest that really got the show started. While The Bucks won with the BTE Trigger, TH2 were mega solid. After the match, The Acclaim tries to attack the champs, but SCU made the save.
FTR: Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood w/Tully Blanchard vs. Varsity Blondes: Brian Pillman, Jr. and Griff Garrison: Blanchard got involved and that allowed Harwood to hit the Brainbuster on Pillman before Wheeler and he hit the Goodnight Express.
10 vs. Dustin Rhodes: Rhodes got the win with The Bulldog, but Evil Uno began his minds games.
Butcher and the Blade and Eddie Kingston w/The Bunny vs. Lance Archer and The Lucha Brothers: Penta el Zero M and Rey Fenix w/Jake Roberts: Butcher and Blade got the win on Fenix with a sweet Double team Powerbomb/Neckbreaker, but Archer beat on everyone after the bell.
Abadon vs. Tesha Price: Abadon squashed her with a Gory Neckbreaker variation.
Dynamite Diamond Match: Maxwell Jacob Friedman vs. Orange Cassidy: A fun back and forth that Miro turned-on MJF’s favor after a vicious Lariat to Cassidy that gave the heel the win. After the match, Miro and Kip Sabian got into it to end the show.

Hickey is also the lead voiceover performer on Mega Cat Studios’ upcoming title WrestleQuest, responsible for nearly 90 characters in the game, as well as Skybound's Renfield: Bring Your Own Blood, where he voices both Dracula and Renfield, as well as several other characters. He also stars in Ziggurat Interactive’s World Championship Boxing Manager 2, where he performs the VO of nearly every male character in the game. He also worked on the Atari VCS’s BPM Boy.
