AEW Dynamite Coverage: Allin Puts Hardy Away

A beefy card (and an amazing opening match) and some set up for Christian’s first feud in AEW and the promise of a surprise from Kenny Omega fueled a fun week of Dynamite.

Matches:

PAC and Rey Fenix vs. AEW Tag Team Champions: The Young Bucks: Matt and Nick Jackson: Holy hell. This was war. Matt and Nick ripped off Fenix’s mask and had a Super Kick Party, but this was a close one.

Jade Cargill vs. Red Velvet: Velvet never gave up, she fought hard in and out of the ring until Cargill put her away with Jaded.

Anthony Ogogo vs. Cole Carter: Ogogo won with the punch to the gut that forced the ref to stop the bout.

Chris Jericho w/Sammi Guevara vs. Dax Harwood w/Cash Wheeler- Mike Tyson Special Guest Referee: Guevara was able to help when needed and Jericho got the win with The Judas Effect. After the match, he added Mike Tyson to The Inner Circle.

Amber Nova vs. Kris Statlander: A solid welcome-back match for Stratlander who won with the Tombstone Oiledriver variation.

Falls Count Anywhere: TNT Champion Darby Allin vs. Matt Hardy: From Private Party and Sting to Ethan Page, Scorpio Sky and Lance Archer, this match had a lot of stuff going on. Hardy hit the Twist of Fate with a chair, but he couldn’t put Allin away. Hardy then hit a Leg Drop through the table and Allin kicked out again. After he used Sting’s bat, Allin climbed up a steel column above the announce table and hit The Coffin Drop for the win.
