I-Tunes Single of the Week Review: Paper Tongues’ ‘Trinity’

Paper Tongues is an American rock band, straight from Charlotte, North Carolina, which was recently formed in 2007. A group that consists of seven members is quite rare, but they somehow hit it off quickly in the music business. Working rapidly and swiftly, these boys weren’t playing games, instantly debuted their first self-titled album on March 30th, 2010, which include rock tunes, along with hip-hop vocals.

The track “Trinity” proves that Paper Tongues’ new album won’t be in the gutter, only something that curious listeners of new music should get themselves involved in.

Lead vocalist, Aswan North, provides this song with such a solid and firm voice, giving audiences a taste of his soulful insides. Not only can North sing, his rhymes are heartfelt. He puts himself in the shoes of those less fortunate than others, describing what has been tarnished and lost. But in the end, everything will turn out fine, as long as there is survival and hope in the world.

The other six members of Paper Tongues, Devin Forbes (guitar), Joey Signa (guitar), Daniel Santell (bass guitar), Jordan Hardee (drums), Clayton Simon (synthesizer keys) and Cody Blackler (rhode keys) contribute an impact of addictive melodies that allow “Trinity” to contain no negative aspects.

All in all, it’s rejuvenating to hear new tunes that can be this skillful and uncommon.

Paper Tongues might have a long way to go, but it’s obvious that they are going to go far with what they already have.

“Trinity” was definitely not a let-down, but a mere surprise compared to other current new song releases. Such a track will not disappoint listeners, but only want them to hear more of Paper Tongues.
