‘Break Me Out’ by The Rescues: Free I-Tunes Single of the Week

Popularly known for earning a reputation with their music through television shows such as One Tree Hill, Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy, The Rescues is an outstanding four-piece band that was formed in Los Angeles, California. Their style is extremely similar to that of the delicacy of Fleetwood Mac, the affection of Coldplay and the introspection of Death Cab for Cutie.

The difference between every other band and The Rescues is that this group consists of two girls and two guys; Kyler England, Adrianne Gonzalez, and Gabriel Mann and Rob Giles. Not only that, but they are all capable of singing and performing multiple instruments.

Impressive to say the very least.

A majority of musicians stick with one action, they either sing or play one single instrument.

It’s obvious that The Rescues are out of many peoples’ leagues.

Recently releasing their first debut album “Let Loose the Horses” in June 2010, it’s clear that they are attempting to reach the top of the charts as fast as possible.

“Break Me Out,” being the first hit single off of the CD easily puts up a good impression for the rest of the tracks.

As a whole, the song is absolutely phenomenal.

Lead vocalist, England, has such a beautiful voice, it’s almost mesmerizing. She hits every note with ease, with an attention-seeking and powerful confidence.

The rest of the band follows with background vocals that set and complete the mood that England leads and it continues throughout the entire song.

Performed by all four members, the background music is suitably chipper. It contains quick drum beats and accelerating guitar riffs that are able to match the smiley lyrics perfectly.

England, Gonzalez, Mann and Giles, as a team, truly concoct an outstanding sound, due to the number of abilities that each person carries.

Overall, “Break Me Out” can be described as one of those songs that will allow listeners to run wild, all while constantly nodding their heads away until the four minutes are up.

  1. I love the rescues. totally agree with your breakdown of the band. Just so you know, Kyler England doesn’t sing lead on Break me Out. They all take turns singing lead vocals but in that particular song Adrianne Gonzalez is the lead vocalist. Still, everything you say about the vocal is true. The Rescues are incredible.
