The Hunt Continues

After an explosive climax from last week’s series premiere, the sons have unfinished business.  A guarantee is that the Sons of Anarchy will not lie down and let things slide. There will be retribution from here on out, and things will get messy. Fasten your seat belt- it’s about to get bumpy, fast.

With kidnapped Abel in Belfast, Gemma [Segal] still out in hiding, this time, with her father, who is suffering from dimentia, the gang is on edge, especially after almost getting wiped out in a drive by shooting.  “Oiled,” the second episode, focuses on the Sons wanting to get intel on Abel’s whereabouts, while Jax [Hunnam] and the club help a bounty hunter track down a skip. The gang also track a source for answers about the attack at Half-Sack’s wake.

Overall, this episode had plenty more action and was more intense than the season premiere.  One scene involved a man’s entire body being buried except his head, similar to the beach, except you don’t have two motorcycles heading in your direction at full speed while you fear for your life.  There were also a few moments that made you laugh, especially involving Gemma’s dad walking in on Tig, a member of the Sons having sex with the care taker.  What was even funnier was that Gemma’s dad shoots Tig for thinking he was sleeping with his wife.

There were a few shocking moments that you did not expect as well, and that is what makes this show all that more exciting.  It is gutsy enough to keep you interested through out. Kurt Sutter, the creator and writer of the show is a genius when it comes to creating an intense storyline that will develop as the series moves forward.

The climax of the show was interesting to say the least.  It will keep the Sons of Anarchy determined to find Able and stop at nothing to do so, now that they have a clue to where he is.

Like a car ride that has just intensified, the series will continue to do so as well, bringing you deep into a journey full of non stop action, and pure excitement.

The hunt continues.

At the site, I'm a music, television and graphic novel kind of guy and that's what I'll be writing for the most part. Expect some book and music reviews as well though [insert demon horns here]. I grew up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, the same neighborhood many of the best mafia films of our day were based on, idolizing guys like Robert Deniro, Martin Scorsese and Al Pacino. I'm also a big sports fan and follow the New York Yankees immensely.
