Say it Ain’t Ho

A lot happened this week on Raw, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything good.

While the return of the Undertaker and Triple H and their bout at Wrestlemania will make the company some money, who knows how well the match will ultimately go? Both of these guys are well past their prime and it probably would have been better for the company’s future had they had Sheamus and HHH face-off, but the Celtic Warrior has been too busy jobbing to Mark Henry lately.

Talk about a bonehead move. There is some hope though, as Daniel Bryan and Sheamus got in a little argument after Sheamus’ match. That would be a good Wrestlemania match featuring two of the companies best young athletes.

But who knows what will ll happen there. The more important thing now is the WWE has a monster in Sheamus that they’d rather job-out to the perennial lower-mid-carder in Henry, the same guy who has never been over, even when he was the ECW champion.

The only thing worse than that was the WWE cameras accidentally showing a huge Undertaker sign that was above the ring, not once, but twice, more than a half hour before he was scheduled to hit the ring.

Another silly move is putting Hacksaw Jim Duggan in the WWE Hall of Fame. A decent mid-carder most of his career, Duggan held a few titles during his career and was a fan favorite, but between battling cancer and the infamous drug bust in Long Island in the late ’80s with Iron Sheik, he isn’t Hall of Fame material.

Aside from that, the overall in-ring action was okay, but it’s weird that the WWE has feuds from Smackdown trickling over to Raw every week. Considering that, the main event had a nice share of drama, but seeing Miz and John Cena (who apparently is slowly reverting back to his old Thuganomics character, telling The Rock to “blow” him earlier in the show) lay waste to the tag team champions like that not only diminishes the value of the belt, it makes fans lose interest whenever there’s a tag match on.

At the same time, it did manage to make The Miz look like a credible opponent and with his match against Cena at Wrestlemania, he’s going to need to look as credible as possible.

Even though its been obvious for decades that pro wrestling is scripted, not even the biggest mark would think for a second that the Miz could share a ring with Cena.
