Another Solid Single From Coyol

Here is another band that met in college. What’s interesting about them?

They’re good.

They’re COYOL.

“Gone, Gone” is the second song revealed off of their self-titled EP which will be officially released in full on September 6th of this year. COYOL, comprised off Céleigh Chapman, John Isaac Watters, and Will Gramling, is not an ordinary power trio, but their sound will captivate you.

This song is the personification of what most people love about music: honesty. Unfortunately, truth is a characteristic too often dismissed as unprofitable in the music industry, but whose association is the cornerstone of the very attribute that attracts people to song.

Chapman began writing “Gone Gone” after a conversation with her grandparents about the hardships a drought brought their farm. Watters, (ironical name now isn’t it?) and Chapman took the theme of loss in the direction of relationships, faith and powerlessness to create something deeply impactful.

Falsettos punctuate Chapman’s genuine southern Californian voice. She carries the alt/country folk song into a rustic pre-chorus where an electric guitar replaces the prevalent acoustic and rings behind the simple and powerful vocals.

Watters picks up the next verse with an unapologetic energy that is difficult to follow. The triad continue with mature development, noted especially by the simple duet to close the song.

Await the album’s one by one release of each track and stay tuned to their channel. It’ll be big.
