SINGER-SONGWRITER EOIN HARRINGTON RELEASES NEW CD, ‘CONFESS’

Hotel Café Show on June 20th Set in Support of New Release

San Francisco-based Irish recording artist Eoin Harrington, known for his award-winning songwriting and dynamic live shows, is set to play The Hotel Café in Hollywood on Monday, June 20th at 8PM. Harrington has released his second CD called CONFESS, which he kicked off with a full 10-piece band show at the world-renowned Yoshi’s in San Francisco that sold out in advance. He also plays the famed Napa Valley Opera House this Thursday night.

A consummate storyteller and classically-trained pianist who also plays guitar and other instruments, Harrington has pioneered and developed a style all his own with this sophomore release, drawing from Irish folk, “Blue Eyed Soul” and classical influences. His signature vocals, soaring melodies and vibrant songwriting style are evident on CONFESS, the follow-up to his well-received 2008 recording debut called STORY.

CONFESS, for which he once again composed all of the 11 songs, represents a progression for Harrington who only recently gave up his “day job” as a bio-tech chemical engineer. “The idea behind CONFESS is that all songs, all pieces of art, all creations for that matter are confessions of a sort-love, hate, greed, despair, disappointment, hope, whatever it may be,” explains Harrington. “This CD is a series of confessions based on what has happened in my life since the last album.”

A fixture on the live concert scene on the West Coast, Harrington’s high-energy performances have become must-see events. In the last year, he performed with The Counting Crows, The Fray, Natasha Beddingfield and Zach Brown in addition to his own shows. At a recent appearance at the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conference held in the Silicon Valley, he charmed the organizers by writing a song especially for the auspicious event.
