FROM COAL MINES TO SKYSCRAPERS: THE BIG APPLE’S PREMIER AMERICANA BAND TRAILER RADIO RELEASES SELF-TITLED NATIONAL DEBUT

New York City-based Americana band Trailer Radio is announcing the national release of its debut self-titled CD. TRAILER RADIO will be available on January 17, 2012. The 10-track album includes the single, “A Little Too Old (And A Lot Too Ugly).”

Trailer Radio was formed in 2010 by lead singer Shannon Brown, who grew up in a tiny West Virginia town. “I spent some time living in a trailer with paneling on the outside, shag carpet on the inside and a crackling radio that picked up one local station twenty miles away,” she said. “That station played country, bluegrass, rock, gospel and jazz. And that’s what we play: anything you’d hear on a trailer radio.”

The well-traveled and highly-experienced band includes David Weiss (Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble, Carlos Guitarlos) on guitar, Mike Dvorkin (Lonesome Prairie Dogs, Tammy Faye Starlight) on guitar, Joe Ongie (Aimee Mann, Minnie Driver) on in-studio bass, Joel Shelton (Elton John, Lou Rawls, also produced the CD) on touring bass, and Kenny Soule (Walter Trout, Popa Chubby) on drums.
