Hell’s Kitchen Coverage: Justin’s Crazy Dish

Step into the ring and get knocked out by the heavyweight champion of culinary foul language Gordon Ramsey in an all new episode of “Hell’s Kitchen.”

The day’s challenge tested the chef’s ability to adapt. That meant the chefs had to cook using ingredients that Ramsey had hidden underneath a dome. Every five minutes Ramsey would ring a bell to show another dome containing more ingredients and the chefs need to grab whatever ingredient they can and use it in their dish. The first dome had proteins: veal, pork, turkey, monkfish and lobster.

The Blue Team seemed more cooperative when a new dome was revealed: the Red Team, however, was more of a free-for-all. The hatred is just spewing.

The judges for tasting part of the challenge were all multiple Michelin Star Winners: Anita Lo (who Barbie is a huge fan of. She was having a major fangasm), Douglas Keane and Michael Cimarusti. They way they judged was each judge would grade would grade each dish one to three stars. The team with most stars wins.

The most interesting dish was Justin’s ravioli filled with monkfish mousse and he used lasagna sheets for the pasta. It worked and netted him six stars.

It was tied throughout the entire tasting until Robyn admitted she hated beets which showed in her pork tenderloin dish that netted her three stars.

The Blue Team had a comfortable 26-23 lead-until Royce’s lobster dish had a very long hair in it and forgetting to remove the scrotum. That left Christina needing seven stars to win and getting it. Finding a hair is one thing, but Royce should’ve known to clean the lobster better. Those things are full of extra stuff that can’t be eaten.

The Red Team got a day at the spa as a reward while the Blue Team had to prep and clean the dorms which Clemenza said “is it me, or does it smell like ass?” Why does Hell’s Kitchen’s dorms always turn into ground zero?

At dinner service Ramsey told the chefs that there would be two special guests at the chefs table. The Blue Team had former UFC light-heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz and the Red Team had boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard. Sure enough everyone was pretty pumped at the idea of having these two legends.

Too bad their service wasen’t up to par when they had to serve said chefs tables.

Let’s talk about the Red Team and Robyn first. She’s a huge fan of Leonard and she just could not stop talking to him and his wife. Christina undercooks risotto, Tiffany put a knife in her mouth then touched wellingtons with it. Barbie and Tiffany’s feud was still going on when they could not communicate with each other on the meat station and Tiffany brought up a bad wellington. The do manage to complete dinner service.

The Blue, however, did a whole lot worse. Brian made “soupy” risotto, Roshni made a NY strip med-well and a wellington was still raw. Patrick brought up a lobster that was “stone cold” twice which made Ramsey throw out the entire team and force the Red to finish the Blue’s service. Ortiz was amused because he had his camera phone out when the Blue team got tossed.

Ramsey didn’t even want the Blue Team to come back into the dining room to tell them to choose two people for elimination. The Blue Team chose Brian and Clemenza for elimination which confused Ramsey and made him chose Roshni and Patrick instead. Roshni got sent home.

It’s sad that Roshni got sent home. She seemed like she could’ve gone further but apparently Ramsey thought differently. Patrick seemed more like the obvious choice to be sent home. The Red Team’s bickering is starting to get old and Barbie is starting to become the aggravator then the victim. Let’s just see how this feud plays out in future episodes.
