NEON TREES SET TO ROCK NYC

Multi-platinum Mercury Records group Neon Trees, half-way into their two-month, 25-city North American “Nylon Magazine and Starbucks Frappuccino Summer Music Tour,” in support of their second album, PICTURE SHOW, featuring the top charted single “Everybody Talks,” will touch down in New York City after the tour ends, for live televised performances that will take them through the end of this month.

As the tour concludes, Neon Trees will take the stage on a return appearance on CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman (August 27th), and then NBC’s America’s Got Talent (August 29th).

On August 28th at 5:00pm, Neon Trees will join the all-star list of artists who have performed as part of the MLBFanCave.com Concert Series, located in the home of the former Tower Records at 4th Street and Broadway in Greenwich Village. The concert is open to the public and fans can follow #caveconcerts on Twitter for updated details. In its second year, the MLB Fan Cave is a first-of-its kind space that mixes baseball with music, pop culture, media, interactive technology, and art. New videos, photos and blogs are posted every day, featuring baseball’s biggest stars along with celebrities and musical guests with whom fans can interact in an entirely new way.”

Neon Trees continues to receive maximum visibility from nationwide television spots for the Buick Verano sedan, a long-term ad campaign in which lead singer Tyler Glenn makes his “acting debut” as the band rocks into“Everybody Talks” on their tour bus. At the same time, the video for “Everybody Talks” is nearing 5 million YouTube views, and was on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown after 13 weeks. The song is Top 5 on the Hot AC chart this week and Top 15 on the Top 40 chart, after peaking inside the Top 10 on the Alternative side. The track will also appear on the upcoming Tim Burton soundtrack for his Disney film, Frankenweenie.

PICTURE SHOW is the follow-up to Neon Trees’ #1 debut album of 2010, Habits, with the RIAA double-platinum #1 debut single “Animal.” PICTURE SHOW is Neon Trees’ first project with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen (who has worked with Beck, Garbage, Nine Inch Nails, and M83). The new album is available in a standard 11-song version, and in a special deluxe limited-edition D2C (direct-to-consumer) version containing three bonus tracks plus a collectable View-Master 3-D device.
