TNA Power Rankings: The New Face of the Aces and Eights

With the battle between the Aces and Eights and TNA intensifying and the feud between Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy gaining steam, the company’s next pay per view, Turning Point, will be, at the very least, interesting.

But the company has more than that going on. Most of it however isn’t nearly as satisfying. Hulk Hogan and Matt Morgan have something brewing, but it remains to be seen how it can help Morgan, or Hogan, in the long run.

The same thing can be said for the lackluster action in the TNA tag team division. Like the case usually in TNA, all the pieces are there, but the execution continues to miss the sweet spot.

That doesn’t mean everyone in the company has forgotten how to entertain.

Here’s Review Fix’s list of the company’s hottest stars this week.

5: Joey Ryan: Mr. Sleaze himself is a blast. Part Disco Inferno with a squirt of Danny Doring and a pinch of The Miz, Ryan is one of the most entertaining performers the company has now. His surprise “win” over Rob Van Dam is definitely a step in the right direction.

4: Jeff Hardy: Most are miffed that he beat Austin Aries for the TNA title, but the fans absolutely love him. His win over Robbie E on Impact doesn’t prove anything, but Hardy’s fans don’t care. They just want to see him work every week.

3: Bobby Roode: He’s one of the best workers in the company and with Hardy’s win over Aries a few weeks ago, he’s back in the World title mix. His new feud with AJ Styles and James Storm won’t break the mold, but it will provide a high-quality match.

2: Matt Morgan: Between his feud with Hulk Hogan and his allegiance with Joey Ryan, Morgan has a damn good hand to play with. When will he get the title shot he deserves? Enough with the small fries, this guy needs a big piece of TNA’s steak.

1: Luke Gallows: Sure, he was unmasked, but look at the bright side. Now his TNA career can truly begin. And to think, TNA actually did this the right way. With a massive Chokeslam on Joseph Park, through a table, Gallows just made himself one of the most feared big men in the company.
