The latest shooting in Connecticut has led to the inevitable blame on video games — unfortunately for the outraged masses on Facebook, the person who liked the popular Mass Effect page wasn’t even the shooter, it was his brother.
Authorities later confirmed Adam Lanza, not Ryan Lanza was the real shooter and that the page that everyone flocked to was indeed the wrong one. One of Ryan Lanza’s “likes” was the popular Mass Effect series, which ended up becoming the target of the misguided internet mob.
