5 Former TNA and WWE Stars That Deserve One More Run

There are too many pro wrestlers out there who yearn for one more shot. A chance they say they were denied or one that simply never came. In the cruel world that is the professional wrestling scene, only a small handful will every get that second or sometimes third chance.

Here’s our list of the guys we’d pay to see in the ring one last time.

5: Scott Hall: If Rocky Balboa was a wrestler, Hall may be his doppelgänger. Talk about highs and lows. If Hall could stay healthy and continue his current path to healthy living, fans would embrace him fully. The bad guy has made more than his fair share of mistakes over the years, with burned down bridges and wasted opportunities aplenty, but how cool would it be to see him in the ring, healthy, one last time?

4: Too Cold Scorpio: Easily one of the most influential performers of the modern age, real wrestling fans know what Scorpion did for technical wrestling around the world. Even if he’s not the same performer he used to be, Scorpio would make a great addition to TNA’s roster as a crafty veteran or even as his Flash Funk persona in the WWE, if even for a night. Imagine the pop from smarks if Brodus Clay and Tensai were joined by the Funkmaster himself?

3: Steve Austin: Stone Cold vs. CM Punk would be awesome indeed. Both can cut promo and both would sell for one another. Thought Punk vs. Undertaker was fun? Austin/Punk would be a brawl and unlike this year’s Wrestlemania match, Punk wouldn’t have to do all the heavy lifting.

What?

I said Punk wouldn’t have to do all the heavy lifting.

What?

OK. Now you’re just being silly.

2: Jake Roberts: The Snake has said he wants to be in the 2014 Royal Rumble and boy, would that be a fun scene. Away from the ring however, Roberts could be a fantastic manager, cutting promos from a young, but capable performer. His wrestling mind is one of legend and it’s in the WWE’s best interest to find a way to make use of it in some way.

1: Diamond Dallas Page: Now in his mid-50s, Diamond Dallas Page has turned himself from a former World Champion into a yoga instructor and motivational speaker. Along the way, he’s “saved” both Jake Roberts and Scott Hall from addiction and got them on a road to a healthy life. For that alone he deserves a memorable run that washes away the taste of his mediocre tenure in the WWE. However, just for the simple fact that he’s still in fantastic shape, DDP deserves one last run. The fans would love it. We can see the Diamond Cutter signs in the crowd from here.
