WWE RAW Power Rankings: Even in Defeat, The Shield Never Loses

While the quality of matches wasn’t anything to marvel at, there was still plenty to talk about this week on RAW. From six-man tags to dance-offs, the diversity was there, even if the execution of it all was lacking. With less than a week before Extreme Rules, here’s our list of the WWE stars that actually accomplished something going into the pay per view.

5: Fandango: He beat the crap out of a legend in Chris Jericho this week, with some help from his sexy valet, Summer Rae- but will it be enough? Although he’s got a decent following and has momentum on his side, the awful writing could hurt his character moving forward. In the ring however, Fandango has proved he can hold his own. The duo’s match at Extreme Rules will be a solid one regardless of whatever antics creative throws their way.

4: Kofi Kingston: Although it was a quick match, Kingston dominated Damien Sandow on RAW this week. With Dolph Ziggler injured, Kingston is now the best singles worker on the show. Now in a feud with another quality performer in Dean Ambrose, Kingston has an opportunity to shine, even if it’s fair to say his days as United States Champion appear to be numbered.

3: Mark Henry: The best heel in the company today. Like a Rick James song, “The World’s Strongest Man” is “Cold-Blooded.” In a solid promo on RAW this week, Henry beat on announcer Josh Matthews and got his point across. His match with Sheamus at Extreme Rules will be a stiff and possibly sloppy one, but it’ll be one many fans will remember. Strap matches are a rarity for good reason. You need performers that can take a beating and have stamina. There aren’t many of them in the company anymore. However, Henry and Sheamus fit that mold to a T.

2: Hell No: While Kane had a nice run in the six-man elimination tag this week on RAW, Daniel Bryan worked his tail off. Still the most well rounded tag team in the WWE, the duo is beginning to carve their legacy as one of the best tag teams in the company in years.

1: The Shield: Every week, these guys continue to prove they belong with the elite stars of the WWE. In an epic 20-minute match on RAW this week, they did it again. After Kane was eliminated via DQ, Daniel Bryan went on a warpath, but he couldn’t pin any of The Shield. After Ambrose pinned Bryan, things didn’t go The Shield’s way, but they continued to make a statement. This trio has the goods.
