The return of Jeff Hardy and the debut of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson made for an interesting, but rather uneventful episode of Impact this week. Aside from the Main Event and a fun Samoa Joe squash match, there wasn’t much to get excited about.
Check out our weekly TNA Impact Power Rankings to find out who didn’t need cheap pops to get the crowd excited.
5: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson: He’s got great ring music and he quoted Ric Flair in his first promo. That’s enough to get him on this list, especially considering how mediocre this episode of the show was. Add Kurt Angle into the mix and how have a more than intriguing segment.
4: Chris Sabin: After reclaiming the X-Division TItle with a win over Kenny King at Slammiversary, Sabin bet King with the Hail Sabin Driver in an awesome six-man tag match. Finally healthy after two years on the shelf, Sabin is enjoying his best run with the company in a half decade. At this point, don’t be surprised with Sabin cashes in that X-Division title for a chance at a bigger strap this summer.
3: Samoa Joe: Robbie E is one of the most underrated workers in the company and Joe destroyed him this week to earn a spot in the Bound for Glory Series. Healthy and fired up, Joe’s resurgence comes at a time when the company is in desperate need of high-quality faces. At a point in his career where he needs some wins to win back casual fans and reestablish himself, this current push may be just what the doctor ordered.
2: Jeff Hardy: The fans love this guys and he delivered in his first match on Impact. This is the type of match that needs to be featured more on Impact. Hardy left it all in the ring this week.
1: Aces and Eights: Although Devon lost the TV title at Slammiversary, Bully Ray is still the World Heavyweight Champion, even if he scurried away from Hardy this week on Impact. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters. As long as Bully is champ, the club will continue to run through the company.
