Since its debut in 1999, Seth MacFarlane’s hit creation “Family Guy” has taken the world by storm with its controversial humor. The Griffin family is seen as one of the funniest families in television history. But there are many funny characters besides the Griffins.
Here is our top ten funniest “Family Guy” characters not in the Griffin family.
10: Mort Goldman: Voiced by the immortal Johnny Brennan, Mort is a Jewish friend of Peter’s and he runs the local pharmacy in Quahog. Although he tends to be more annoying than funny, he makes the list.
9: Ollie Williams: Ollie is the weatherman for Quahog’s Channel 5 News. He is known for his random, but often hilarious one to three second statements. He would be higher but he doesn’t get enough show time.
8: Thomas “Tom” Tucker: Tom is the lead anchor of Channel 5 News. He is arrogant and is always insulting someone, usually his former co-host, Dianne Simmons. Tom’s funniest moments are either about his addiction to hookers or issues with his son that has and upside-down face.
7: Jillian Russell: Brian’s beautiful, but dumb ex-girlfriend. She is the girl talked about in every dumb blonde joke in history. Her funniest moment is her thinking that Adolf Hitler is still alive and on the rampage.
6: Cleveland Brown: Cleveland’s distinct laugh and loyalty to Peter make him an instant favorite. The funniest things about him are his voice and the constant destruction of his house by Peter.
5: Joe Swanson: Joe is Peter’s paraplegic friend who has random fits of rage. Joe is also a decorated police officer who rescues people while in a wheelchair. His funniest moments are not being able to please his wife sexually or needing someone to change his diaper.
4: Consuela: Consuela is a Hispanic maid who speaks broken English. She just says no to everybody. Consuela has worked for the Griffins, Mayor West and even Superman. Her funniest moment is when she worked for the Griffins and decided they would not fire her.
3: Glen Quagmire: Quagmire is the Griffin’s sex addicted neighbor. He is attracted to all women, Lois especially. Quagmire’s two catch phrases ” Giggity” and “All Right” are said throughout the world. Quagmire makes number three because he is one of the few characters outside of the Griffin household that viewers can’t wait to see each episode.
2: John Herbert: Herbert is the elderly pedophile on the show; he is always trying to get little boys in his basement for popsicles, Chris Griffin more than anyone else. Herbert has a high pitched soft voice and whistles when he speaks.
1: Mayor Adam West: Mayor Adam West is the funniest character not in the Griffin family. He is an odd and extremely paranoid individual. His paranoia leads him to do some of the most randomly funny things in “Family Guy” history. He had a love affair with Meg; that should automatically give him the number one spot on this list.
