TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Enter Magnus

A New World Champion, fresh new match ups in every title division and some new angles, TNA is interesting for a variety of different reasons.

But is it enough?

Check out our weekly TNA Power Rankings to see who’s thriving in what appears to be a new direction for TNA.

5: Ethan Carter III: The fact that he now has a TNA Tag Team title shot isn’t important. It’s the fact that he’s got the attention of Sting. A match between these two could be great for TNA and for the young Carter. TNA needs to make this happen.

4: Bobby Roode: Not many people can say they’ve beaten Kurt Angle in twice on the same night, but now Roode can. Using the heel tactics that got him to the top of the TNA card, Roode was able to outsmart Angle. While the win is obviously a noteworthy one, he could have used a clean win much more. At this point, he’s one of the better heels on the TNA roster and this angle could have ultimately elevated him much more than it did. The fail falls much more on the hands of TNA creative than Roode however. There’s not much more he can do in this situation.

3: Joseph Park: With plenty of help from the always-entertaining Eric Young, it appears Park is severely close to returning to his Abyss character. With a lack of dominant characters, Abyss is needed more than ever. This time around however, with the added-addition of Young by his side, the two could be a formidable tag team or just a small group that is involved in each other’s feuds. It could be good, if TNA ever stops their creative nonsense and pulls the trigger.

2: Gunner: Anyone that has seen him perform knows he’s a modern-day viking- a beast, a monster. His pending World Title shot creates a flurry of new match-ups and angle possibilities. It’s something that company and the young star needs. Although he hasn’t shown much on the microphone. His skill set and look alone make him a more than worthy TNA World Heavyweight title contender.

1: Magnus: After years of being touted the next TNA Champion, Magnus finally has gold. How this plays out with the AJ Styles situation is unknown, but for the time being, Magnus is king of TNA.
