Disney Drops Star Wars 1313 Trademark

Disney deserted the Star Wars 1313 trademark, according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s website.

The trademark was “Abandoned because no Statement of Use or Extension Request timely filed after Notice of Allowance was issued.”

Star Wars 1313, first revealed at E3 2012, was a third-person action adventure title intended for next-gen consoles. The game was ultimately canceled after Disney shut down LucasArts in April 2013, just a few months after purchasing the rights to LucasFilm and Star Wars from George Lucas for $4.05 billion.
