TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Sting Gets One More Shot

It’s hard to gauge the long-term impact of the Genesis pay per view, but in the short-term, it’s easy to se that the company is desperately trying to spice things up. Between the continued pushes of ECIII, Samuel Shaw and Magnus, Impact Wrestling is a different kind of monster entirely.

Check out our TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see who got the ball rolling in the first part of TNA’s Genesis Pay Per View.

5: Samoa Joe: A submission win in a massive 12-man tag match isn’t going to rekindle Joe’s fire, but it does continue to prove that he’s one of the best faces the company has. It’s about time the company does something with him, you know, like let him do more than provide cheap pops on the microphone. A chance to get to know what drives Joe could be the difference between a career in the upper-mid-card and one that has more gold around his waist.

4: Madison Rayne: Talk about a shocker. Who would have thought Kim would lose the title that wa

3: Samuel Shaw: This kid’s character is weird. His dismantling of Simon Diamond in the back was just as unnerving. His submission finisher is unorthodox, to say the least. But there’s something cool and charismatic about him. For the time being, he’s worth our attention.

2: Bully Ray: Although he’s not World Champion anymore, Ray’s new character is just as menacing. His match with Anderson this past week at Genesis was the best on the card. As far as in-ring performances at the mid-card level go, it’s pretty hard to beat this current Ray/Anderson feud. All TNA creative has to do now is make it matter somehow.

1: Sting: Sure, he got screwed against Ethan Carter III, but Sting has a title shot this week against Magnus. Can the Legend dethrone the new champion or is this Sting’s last hurrah?
