TNA Impact Wrestling Coverage: Willow Surprises, MVP and Joe Satisfy

The international crowd was hyper and the suspense was in the air for a reason. This past week’s Impact Wrestling had a little bit of everything, from random match, storyline development and developments fans have waited for.

With the in-ring debuts of Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and MVP, as well as the continued development of the Abyss and Eric Young feud and the “Willow” vignette, TNA is without a doubt a better show than it was just a month ago.

With the battle of Dixie Carter and MVP just getting started, TNA has plenty of room to grow.

Matches:

Case vs. Case: Gunner vs. Ethan Carter III: A solid encounter until Magnus interrupted the match. Luckily for Gunner, James Storm quickly joined the party. After their arrival, MVP turned the match into a tag team match.

Gunner and James Storm vs. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus and Ethan Carter III: Magnus and Carter worked well together and used the ladder on both Gunner and Storm to give themselves an advantage. After they beat on the former Tag Team Champs, all Magnus and Carter had to do was walk up the ladder and grab the briefcases, but their bickering allowed Storm and Gunner to clean house. After a Diving Headbutt, Gunner was able to get both of the cases.

TNA Tag Team Champions Robbie E and Jessie Godderz and Zema Ion vs. Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards and Samoa Joe: A fun match that was more about destroying the heel team of the Bromans and Ion. After the Wolves used some high-flying tactics, Joe got the win via submission.

Rockstar Spud vs. MVP: A quick squash that ended after MVP nailed a “Gang-Styled,” Kick to a fallen Spud.

Velvet Sky vs. Chris Sabin: Sky was in the driver’s seat until the debuting “Alpha Female” finished her off with a Full-Nelson and allowed Sabin to get the win.

Casket Match: Bully Ray vs. Mr. Anderson: A crazy half hour match that went back and forth with Bully Ray getting the majority of the offense in, including a nasty Powerbomb through a table. But after a Mic Check, while in the coffin, Anderson closed the casket and won the match.
