“Wonderland” Brooklyn Bowl Adds New Spring/Summer Shows (London Evening Standard)

“One of the most incredible places on earth” – Rolling Stone

Brooklyn Bowl London, the new outpost of the eponymous NYC nightlife destination which Rolling Stone hailed as “one of the most incredible places on earth,” continues to live up to its reputation with a scorching schedule for spring and summer.

Called a “wonderland of food, drink, music, and pins” by the London Evening Standard, Brooklyn Bowl London opened its doors in January to a spectacular three-day blowout, which coincided with the Brooklyn Nets vs. Atlanta Hawks match in London. Bridging the gap between the Brooklyn music scene and the best of international and homegrown British talent, artists set to perform in the coming months include pioneering NYC hip hop DJ Grandmaster Flash, Portland psychedelic pop-rockers Dandy Warhols, rock legend Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, NYC politically-charged hip-hop-rock outfit Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Norwegian house DJ Kygo, New Orleans party veterans Galactic,California ska-punk band Reel Big Fish, and Chicago based prog-rockers Umphrey’s McGee.

April will also see the launch of three weekly resident nights: Boogaloo Bowl brings the groove to Mondays with soul and funk from London’s finest bands and DJs; DJ Questlove Presents: Bowl Train takes over Thursdsays in April, with a weekly DJ set of house, hip hop and rare grooves inspired by the Roots drummer’s residency in NYC, featuring a DJ Questlove hand selected, BBC Radio’s Benji B; and Saturdaynight’s Brooklyn Hustle features DJ sets from London’s hottest DJs.

“We’re thrilled with the artists coming through Brooklyn Bowl London this year,” says co-owner Peter Shapiro. “Questlove’s residency is a signature aspect of Brooklyn Bowl New York, so bringing Bowl Train to London makes it seem even more like home.”
