NXT Power Rankings: Kidd’s Rebirth?

A beefy card, a rare promo from the Ascension and a damn good three-way match to determine Adrian Neville’s next challenger for the NXT Championship highlighted another solid episode of the WWE’s minor league show.

Scary to think that every week these kids grow up a little bit more. Even without Neville and Corey Graves on the card, the show got it done. Take that TNA.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who has the most momentum leading up to the brand’s big event, Takeover.

Honorable Mention: Tyler Breeze: He’s come a long way over the past few months, going from a cool gimmick to a well-rounded performer that can sell for the top talents in the organization. Although he still has a long way to go, he showed a lot in his promo this week and in his match with Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn.

5: Colin Cassidy: He’s huge, has an awesome finisher and a fun catch phrase. All he needs is more time on the show. With Mason Ryan released, he’s sure to move up the card. Much like Breeze, he’s definitely shown more potential over the last few weeks.

4: Mojo Rawley: He’s still an untapped potential, but he keeps earning wins over some talented individuals. Aiden English is a weird character, but the guy can perform. The fact that Rawley won over him so handily this week shows that WWE brass, for some reason, is very high on the Hype Man.

3: Charlotte Flair: How can you not love Charlotte? She’s hot, has a great theme and is an excellent performer. Her win over Alexa Bliss sends her to the NXT Women’s Championship tournament finals, where she will either face off against Nattie Neidhart or her pal Sasha Banks. Right now, she’s got to be the favorite to wear the strap.

2: Sami Zayn: He’s the biggest name in NXT and the hardest worker, but the title still eludes him. Much like Daniel Bryan, it’s only a matter of time until he brings home gold. But with the NXT Title firmly around the waist of Adrian Neville, that opportunity will not be coming anytime soon.

1: Tyson Kidd: A shot at the NXT Title is a good thing for Kidd, who has found a role mentoring the younger stars of the company. Although it’s probably not where he wants to be, Kidd has proven over the last month or so that he is still an excellent worker. That’s got to mean something.
