NXT Power Rankings: Three’s Company?

NXT tries hard every week to make every show have at least one major sticking point, whether it be a developing feud, a title tournament or a Battle Royal for a shot at a title. This week had all three. Not only did the NXT Women’s title finish its first round of competition, but the Adam Rose and Camacho feud continued to heat up , while the Battle Royal for a NXT title shot at NXT Payback closed off the show.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who the new #1 Contenders for the NXT Title are and more.

Honorable Mention: Tyler Breeze: He’s not nearly in the same class as Sami Zayn or Tyson Kidd, but he’ll be a Dark Horse pick for a #1 contenders spot for the NXT Title next week. Is the cool gimmick and entrance enough to get him over?

5: Kalisto and El Local: They may not be a perfect fit to take on the Ascension, but this team is a heck of a lot of fun. Local is bigger, but surprisingly nimble, while Kalisto may be a better fit to eventually replace Rey Mysterio than Sin Cara. His finisher, a Spinning Wheel Kick variation is pretty damn cool, but his version of Ultimo Dragon’s Reverse DDT variation may be even cooler.

4: Alexa Bliss: No one expected Alicia Foxx to win this match, but no one knew anything about the NXT rookie in Bliss. Say what you want about Foxx, but the girl can work. Taking a beating from the veteran, Bliss ended up with the Rollup win. With her adorable look and athletic move set, Bliss has some tools worth developing.

3: Charlotte Flair: A few weeks after she beat former NXT Womens Champion Paige, Flair beat Emma this week on NXT to get to the second round of the NXT Womens Title tournament. Will she eventually take on her buddy Sasha Banks for the title? We can’t wait, if it happens. Athletic, beautiful and solid on the microphone, Flair is a star in the making.

2: Tyson Kidd: The former WWE Tag Team Champion has been reborn in NXT. With Zayn and NXT Champion Adrian Neville the two best faces in the company, it’s a big possibility that Kidd will leave next week’s show with a shot at the title.

1: Sami Zayn: Arguably the most popular performer in NXT, Zayn deserves a title shot, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll get it. A match with Adrian Neville would be awesome, but with his angle with Corey Graves still looming, it’s quite possible Graves will end up costing Zayn his chance at the NXT Title.
