TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: EY’s Title Run in Jeopardy?

More swerves and silliness. Between the continued antics of The Menagerie and MVP’s heel turn, TNA continues to lose ground every week. MVP’s arrival in TNA spiced things up considerably and his role as Director of Wrestling Operations was working. He was over as a face and he’d wrestle just enough to make his matches more interesting than they really were. With the new stable of MVP, Kenny King and Bobby Lashley, you can expect the three of them, more than tolerable and even enjoyable in decent doses, to be jammed down your throats.

Wait, what? Three upper-mid-carders being pranced around as the elite faction? Yep, that sounds like Impact Wrestling, doesn’t it?

Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling to see who gained ground in another wacky week full of swerves.

Honorable Mention: Gail Kim: With The Beautiful People’s reign of terror continuing, Kim is the only real worker in the Knockouts Division that can take her out. The fans love her and she has a track record of success, making her love the right person for the job. At this point, a feud between Knockouts Champion Angelina Love and Kim is about the only thing in TNA that makes logical sense.

5: Willow: His win over Magnus and Bram keeps this mid-card feud building. With Magnus yet to embrace his hardcore side, Willow continues to rack up wins. Until Magnus finds that inner-demon, Willow will stay in the winners circle. Scary to think, it’s quite possible that Magnus hasn’t even seen the worst of Willow yet.

4: The Menagerie: These guys are wacky as hell, but they are fun. It’s too bad that there’s no secondary title in TNA (where is the TV Title? It’s still listed on TNA’s official website) that they could compete for. With a lack of depth in the mid-card, Knux and his pals will continue to demolish people like Kazarian and gain little to no ground with the real workers in the company. Sad but true fact- The Menagerie are a sideshow in TNA.

3: Ethan Carter III: He’s still pissed and with Kurt Angle out of the way for a period of time, Carter can talk all that he wants. Like Knux, Carter has little to compete for, other that to fill up the middle of the card. But unlike Knux, Carter, especially with MVP’s heel turn, has room to grow. At this point, the kid could easily turn face and be an ally for current TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young- a much needed one.

2: MVP: His new alliance with Kenny King and Bobby Lashley makes his heel turn even more convincing an dangerous. Eric Young’s TNA World Heavyweight Title is in serious jeopardy and if MVP continues to build momentum the way that he has over the last two weeks, he may not have the belt around his waist for much longer.

1: Eric Young: The guy has been a solid champion, defending the belt against all comers, but he may have bit off more than he can chew against MVP, Bobby Lashley and Kenny King. Although his “movement” in Impact Wrestling may have shaken up the TNA World Title scene immensely, he may end up being a sidestep in the company’s history than a bookend.
