WWE Legends House Coverage: Happy Days

Wait, a feel-good episode of Legends House?

In the words of “Mean” Gene Okerlund, “Holy Balls.”

Enlisted by nerds to participate in a Live-Action Role Playing experience to save Ashley, the legends were equipped with mystical weapons and attire. This was only a small part of the fun. Seeing Roddy Piper do his best Braveheart impersonation and Tony Atlas plowing over nerds was simply classic. Even the less nimble Okerlund played an integral part in the physical experience, playing the part of the wizard healer.

In the end, in spite of the bravery Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Piper and Hillbilly Jim and the weasel-sequence tactics of Jimmy Hart (his actions during the battle were the highlight of the episode), Atlas was the one who ended up killing the warlock and saving the coveted wench. As a reward, the group was sent to the spa for the day.

Yes, no drama, no sidetracking, no craziness, well as aside from Okerlund’s continued pervy remarks and Atlas’ occasional grumpiness. At the same time, their actions added more depth to an otherwise tame, but heart-warming episode. Seeing the guys all eat dinner together, combined with Jim’s morning workout showed a lot of peace and tranquility in this episode.

Away from their own agendas, the legends are finally beginning to accept one another and work together. Now, that could be a great thing or one that ultimately leads to their demise. Is the happiness temporary or are all of these guys finally on the same page?

At any rate, Legends House continues, in a plethora of different ways, to be a whimsical, yet enthralling reality show with some of the most iconic faces in wrestling history.
