NXT Coverage: Fresh

After weeks of using far too many WWE superstars, this past week’s NXT featured the debuts of Bull Dempsey and Becky Lynch and the return of Enzo Amore, making the show feel more than revamped and new.

Add in a damn good main event between Adrian Neville and Rob Van Dam and you had a solid and much-needed rebound episode of NXT.

Matches:

The Vaudevillians: Aiden English and Simon Gotch vs. Matt Sugarman T. Perkins: English and Gotch quickly won with their flipping Fireman’s Carry/Second Rope Senton Bomb combination.

Xavier Woods vs. Bull Dempsey: Woods was simply fed to the young brawler, who beat on Woods at will before he beat him with The Bulldozer, a modified Snow Plow Suplex.

Summer Rae w/NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch: Rae got in a few of her trademark kicks, but with no help from her friends, she was left alone alone. Lynch fought back and won with a nice Cradle Suplex.

Colin Cassady vs. Sawyer Fulton: Cassady made quick work of Fulton with the Big Boot and Jumping Elbow. After the match, Cassady was confronted by Sylvester LeFort and Marcus Louis, but was saved by the returning Enzo Amore.

Non-Title: Rob Van Dam vs. NXT Champion Adrian Neville: This was an athletic contest as both performers sold for each other’s signature maneuvers throughout the entire matchup. After RVD missed the Five-Star Frog Splash, Neville hit a modified DDT and then got the clean win with the Red Arrow.
