Although NXT Champion Adrian Neville wasn’t involved in in-ring actually, the people’s champion of the promotion, Sami Zayn, was. With a solid win over Titus O’Neil, Zayn looks primed for a shot at the NXT Championship.
Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who continues to rise up the promotion’s ladder in their own attempt to get to the main WWE roster.
Honorable Mention: Hideo Itami: Although he’s a tough son of a gun and is a respectable force, how long will Itami get destroyed by The Ascension? Will he get any help from fellow important Prince Devitt next week?
5: Carmella: She’s got a great look, an even better submission finisher and a gimmick that worlds wonderfully for her. She’s still green, but there’s plenty of potential there.
4: Bull Dempsey: A win over Justin Gabriel is easily the biggest one of his NXT career. But with a limited amount of maneuvers in his arsenal, is the ground and pound style enough for the NXT wrecking ball?
3: Baron Corbin: The End of Days is just a blast to watch, but Corbin’s got to show us more before he’s a legitimate threat to anyone with any real significance in the promotion.
2: The Tag Team Division: Is it scary that NXT has a better tag team division than RAW? It’s not a terrible thing though, as every week on NXT, you get a chance to see a great young tag team. From the Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady or Simon Gotch and Aiden English to the power of The Ascension, NXT has an awesome assortment of duos.
1: Sami Zayn: Wins and losses to Zayn, who is, without a doubt, the most-seasoned performer in NXT. He will get his shot at the NXt title, it’s just a matter of when.
