In the wake of an amazing finish to Survivor Series, the WWE had some heavy-lifting in order to keep its momentum moving in the right direction.
With a mediocre card and a lack of big surprises, this weeks RAW felt a bit too fluffy following the pure shock of Survivor Series.
Check out this week’s RAW Power Rankings to see who managed to star in one of the most anticipated episodes of RAW in months- that, in the end, was unable to satisfy.
Pleasant Surprise: Erick Rowan: Standing up to the Big Show is no easy task, but Rowan seems focused on taking down the Giant.
Honorable Mention: Fandango: His win over Justin Gabriel makes you think he’ll got a future, but we’re not quite sure if the dance gimmick is his ticket. With a beautiful Guillotine Leg Drop and a great look, Fandango is bound to get over eventually.
5: Ryback: With another big win, this one over former World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry, Ryback’s climb up the WWE mid-card. While he may never be a WWE World Heavyweight Champion, he’s beginning to carve out a steadier niche than he had during his last run with the company.
4: Daniel Bryan: As soon as his music hit and the crowd went nuts, it was obvious he’s still super over. His appearance this week provided another huge boost after one of the best Survivor Series pay per views in years. His match-booking for Team Authority was nothing short of poetic. Charismatic and entertaining, Bryan would be an excellent RAW GM until he’s ready to get back in the ring- if that ever happens.
3: Dean Ambrose: Although he was unable to beat Luke Harper for the Intercontinental Championship. Ambrose had the crowd in the palm of his hands after he hit Harper with the Dirty Deeds on a charge. Sure, Bray Wyatt spoiled the party and took out Ambrose, but that’ll only make their Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at TLC even more enjoyable.
2: Seth Rollins: He’s still the future of the WWE and with Brock Lesnar’s appearances sporadic at best, he’s the number one heel in the company.
1: John Cena: Nothing against Dolph Ziggler, who worked his rear off at Survivor Series, but Cena is still the franchise. Even with Sting’s arrival, Cena is still the biggest knight in the WWE castle.
