Three squashes and the beginning of a great match before a run-in, the last episode of NXT was definitely light on the in-ring action.
But thanks to a slew of good props and build for the next NXT event, the show did its job.
Matches:
Tyler Breeze vs. Marcus Louis: After insulting Louis for a few minutes, Breeze put him away with the Beauty Shot.
Carmella w/ Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs. Blue Pants: Carmella made quick work of NXT’s Blue Meanie with her Head Scissor Submission.
The Dillinger and Jason Jordan vs. the NXT Tag Team Champions Sin Cara and Kalisto: After some back and forth, Kalisto got the unremarkable win with the SDS.
Tyson Kidd w/Natalya vs. Finn Balor: Talk about evenly-matched. One of the best main events in months on NXT, these guys worked their tails off. Kidd was tough, but Balor eventually made a comeback with the Pelel Kick and a beautiful Spinning Brainbuster before eventually finishing him off with running knee. But before Balor could hit the Double Stomp from the top rope, the Ascension got the match thrown out and before you knew it, Hideo Itami joined fight and it turned into carnage.
