WWE RAW Coverage: Slammied Out

Don’t let the Slammy Awards nonsense fool you- this was the go home show before the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Pay Per View and as such, it needed to build hype for the event.

Away from the nonsense, the card was thin with no matches doing anything to add drama to this weekend’s show. The end result was an awfully slow-paced that show that was far more passable than watchable.

Matches:

Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins w/Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury: A good match until interference from Mercury knocked Ziggler from the top rope and ring into a Curb Stomp for the Rollins win.

Kofi Kingston w/ Big E. Langston and Xavier Woods vs. Stardust w/Goldust: Nothing special as Kingston got the win with a Frog Splash-styled Cross Body for the win.

Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya Neidhart: A terribly booked match as Neidhart countered the Figure-Four into a School Boy for the win.

Erick Rowan vs. Luke Harper: The match got thrown out after Harper hit Rowan with a Ladder. After the match, Rowan got a few shots in though to even things up.

Ryback and Jimmy and Jey Uso vs. Kane and WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz and Damien Sandow: More a sideshow than anything else, The Usos and Kane worked hard in the ring, but Sandow’s antics were hilarious. Ryback eventually got the win with the Shellshock on The Miz.

AJ Lee vs. Summer Rae: A quickie that saw Lee get the win with the Black Widow.

John Cena vs. The Big Show: Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on Show as advertised, but Rollins and company interfered to get the match thrown out. After Ziggler made the save, Show knockout them both out until Rowan and Harper began to brawl on the outside before Show took out “Big Red.” Ryback then made his presence felt and took out Show and Harper until Kane nailed Ryback with a chair. More finishers continued to fly until Rollins put Cena away with a Curb Stomp and then through the announce table with a Powerbomb to end the show.
