Review Fix Exclusive: Jay Bowman Talks ‘Kings of Kung Fu’

Review Fix chats with “Kings of Kung Fu” creator Jay Bowman about the development process and creative vision behind game and the hopes for it now that’s available on Steam, as well as the thoughts on a possible PlayStation 4 or Xbox One port. A labor of love for Lee, a huge fan of Kung Fu films of the past 40 years, Lee details the things that make his game more than just fan service. With awesome lighting and solid gameplay, it’s one of the cooler fighters on Steam.

Review Fix: How does it feel now that the game is released?

Jay Bowman: It feels a bit weird. Artists are rarely ever satisfied with their finished works.

Review Fix: What are you most proud of when it comes to this game?

Jay Bowman: I would have to say that I am proud to have actually completed my first game.

Review Fix: What did you learn through the development process?

Jay Bowman: I learned quite a bit about management and budgeting.

Review Fix: Will there be any DLC?

Jay Bowman: There is a good chance that there will be extra content released for the game in the coming months.

Review Fix: There are virtually no fighters on Next Generation consoles. You ever think about porting this to PlayStation 4 or XBox One? What about the Vita?

Jay Bowman: Yes I actually get that request a lot. Console ports are not planned at the moment, but there is always the possibility of porting the game to consoles in the future.

Review Fix: Any thoughts on a sequel?

Jay Bowman: I wouldn’t mind doing a sequel in the future.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Jay Bowman: Currently I am in the early pre-production stages for a new game that I am working on. There is nothing to announce at the moment, but stay tuned.
