About the Future Villains:

Future Villains is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Lead guitar player and founding member Clay Davies joined with bass player David Ellis eventually meeting lead vocalist Dusty Bo and continued to record their debut self-titled EP. Shortly after, drummer Kenny joined the group to make the band complete. Supercharged – in your face rock n roll. A modern hard rock band with classic rock influences such as AC/DC, Deep Purple and Aerosmith. Future Villains not only has an extremely energetic sound, but a thrilling live performance to go along with it.

Review Fix: How did the band get together?

Dusty Bo: The band formed in 2012. Clay and I started working together on demos and became great beer drinking friends in the studio. The rest is drunk history.

Review Fix: What’s the band’s creative process like?

Bo: The usual process is Clay coming up with a riff, hook or progression then we will work together on it from there.

Review Fix: What are your goals for this EP?

Bo: Well the five EP that we released independently in 2012 has brought us many great things including two international tours, placement on Showtime’s hit show “Shameless” and caught the ear of some labels and management companies to help “put us on the map.” We are currently working on our first full-length album, including a few songs with Brian Howes who is well known for his work with Hinder, Airbourne and Nickelback and many others. We have a lot of great songs to pick from already and are looking to release the album early 2016. We will be touring heavily with this album throughout North America and hopefully, we will break into the European circuit as well.

Review Fix: What’s the standout song on the LP? How was it written?

Bo: To pick out one standout song for the album is difficult but if I had to pick one it would be “California” it’s a mid-tempo/anthem heavy hitting rock tune with a slamming chorus that people will love to sing along with whether they are from Cali or not.

Review Fix: How do you want this LP to be remembered?

Bo: I would like people to remember this LP as an introduction to FV. Also that we are one of the bands not just keeping Rock n Roll alive but that our goal is to bring rock back to the top of the charts so the next generations aren’t being overwhelmed with most of the bullshit that gets played on the radio nowadays.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Bo: Next is touring. And probably more interviews…just like this one.
