Top 10 Badass Marvel Superheroes

Superheroes are more than their powers. What will make you love a hero isn’t what kind of power they have, or how powerful they are. The hero’s personality is what will make you love them or hate them. Marvel has created many heroes, but some heroes are way too much of boy scouts. Others heroes, however, are complete badasses that will make you love them for a variety of reasons.

10: Cyclops: Scott Summers, AKA Cyclops, may be a bit socially awkward, and have difficulty showing emotion, but what separates him from other superheroes is that he has no control over his power, at all. He has to use glasses made of ruby quartz crystal lens in order to stop his beams from coming out. No other hero has to use glasses to stop powers, which makes him one of a kind. Although Cyclops’ powers are strong, he’s also smart which has helped him in fights. In Uncanny X-Men 175, the X-Men are fooled into thinking Cyclops is Phoenix. Cyclops is forced to fight them, and one by one he defeats them. Cyclops then finally gets to Charles, who is unconscious and get him to telepathically tell the X-Men that Cyclops isn’t the Phoenix.

9: Storm: Ororo Monroe (Storm) is one of the few female superheroes that aren’t based on other male heroes which give her extra points. Storm has the ability to control the weather. When you see her in action, with all the lighting around her, her eyes plain white, you’ll be amazed. You get to see another side of Storm in X-Men Annual Six when she is bitten by Dracula. Instead of using her powers to fight evil, she is evil.

8: Hawkeye: Clint Francis doesn’t have any supernatural powers, like other heroes. He is just a regular human, but at the same time he isn’t. No other regular human being can do what he does. Hawkeye is one of the best archers, ever. He doesn’t just have his arrows, but also knifes, boomerangs, balls and darts. Along with his weapons, Hawkeye can always put up a fight. Not having powers doesn’t make him inferior to any of the Avengers. In Avengers #174, Hawkeye shows that even though he doesn’t have any powers it doesn’t matter. The Avengers get captured by the Collector, and Hawkeye is the only one that remains to save them. Not having powers didn’t stop Hawkeye in fighting the Collector.

7: Luke Cage: Luke Cage went from a thug who had committed many crimes to a good guy. Cage has super strength and is able to heal from injuries very quickly. He isn’t like most heroes that pick another hero name or wear a disguise. Cage wears regular clothes in fact he still dresses like a thug. In Power Man #19, Cage shows how nothing scares him. Cage’s briefcase is filled with snakes, he grabs the snakes and wraps them around his fist. Then he punches a thug with them.

6: Blade: Most heroes become good guys because of an experiment gone wrong, or because somehow they came into contact with radioactivity. Blade on the other hand was born with vampire enzymes in him. Alike vampires he doesn’t age, has super strength, strong sense, stamina, and heals quickly. Just take a look at him covered in black with a black long coat, and a huge sword on his back.

5: Black Widow: Natasha Romanova (Black Widow) is also one of some heroes who doesn’t have a superpower. She doesn’t need one she has her fighting skills and she comes from Russia. Also look at her, she’s hot and can kick butt. Even when she was on the run in the 2010 “Black Widow” series, she finds a way to be tough. Framed as a traitor in America. That doesn’t stop her from doing her thing, she is on the run while fighting bad guys.

4: Daredevil: Heroes normally don’t lack any ability, but Daredevil does lack one. He can’t see, but all his other four senses make up for it. He is able to identify someone just by their scent or by the way their heart beats. He is still a human being but he trained his senses to be superior to a regular human being along with fighting skills. In the mini-series comic Daredevil vs. Punisher: Means and Ends Issue two you witness an amazing Daredevil moment. The Punisher and Daredevil are fighting, in front of a criminal. They start to completely ignore that the criminal named Jimmy is there. Jimmy then pulls out a gun and is just about to shoot. While still fighting with the Punisher, Daredevil doesn’t even waste time to throw his baton and knock Jimmy out.

3: Wolverine: James Howlett, AKA Wolverine is extraordinary. You can shoot him as many times as you want- he won’t die. He may lose his memory because of it, but he won’t die. He may not be immortal, but he is definitely not so easy to kill. Not only does he have amazing healing powers, but long metal claws. You see Wolverine put those claws at work in Wolverine, Vol. 3 #31 when he starts fighting Hulk. He doesn’t get intimidated by Hulk’s huge size and strength. The fight gets broken off but not before Wolverine claws Hulk’s skin.

2: Ghost Rider: John Blaze (Ghost Rider) has super strength and is able to control hell fire. What really makes Ghost Rider badass is his look. He is a skeleton in leather with chains around him, on a motorcycle. If that was not all he is on fire the whole time. He has cool powers, but his look just completes it. Ghost rider didn’t make this list just because of his looks but of the time he beat the X-men. Then when the Avengers can to stop him, Ghost rider beat them all up too.

1: Deadpool: Most heroes hesitate to kill the bad guys. Although Deadpool doesn’t go on killing bad guys he doesn’t hesitate to do so. Deadpool may be a superhero but he also has the skills of an assassin. He carries his two swords on his back, and many guns. Deadpool not only has amazing combat skills but he can easily heal from injuries. He is the only assassin superhero. Let’s admit it Deadpool also has had great comic book moments; like the time he hitting on Thor not actual hitting but flirting, or when he told Ghost rider he’s nasty for not washing his teeth. Deadpool is not only the most badass superhero but funniest. Let’s not forget when Deadpool’s saying “Don’t assume anything or Deadpool will stab you.”
