Long Island City’s Secret Theatre will host the 4th Annual UNfringed Festival from August 8th – 28th
The Secret Theatre is seeking full-length dramatic, comedic and musical works for their alternate Fringe style festival, which opens on August 8th. Each year we select the best full-length plays – these plays are usually 60 – 120 minutes long and can be in any genre including solo performance. A more affordable alternative to the larger Manhattan based Fringe nevertheless Unfringed has each year presented a high quality work. Our winner for two straight years was playwright Duncan Pflaster, who won last year with the hilarious ‘The Underpants Godot’.
UNFringed offers the stage to audacious new works from passionate artists who aren’t afraid to push the boundaries.
UNFringed embodies the adventurous and collaborative spirit of the Long Island City community, the outer-borough exile of the uncompromising artist, and the cultural and ideological diversity of neighborhood, the city, the state, heck, the country and beyond.
