Inside Marvel Puzzle Quest Civil War Updates

National Video Games Examiner Patrick Hickey Jr. chats with Josh Austin, D3 Go! Producer to get the inside scoop on all of the changes to Marvel Puzzle Quest due to the upcoming Marvel Civil War film. From new bosses to exclusive characters, the changes are big ones.

Patrick Hickey Jr.: How does the team-based gameplay change Marvel Puzzle Quest?

Josh Austin: For the Civil War event in Marvel Puzzle Quest, if you team up Steve Rogers (First Avenger) which is our five-star Captain America with heroes that are aligned with Team Cap, those characters will get buffed and become stronger. Same goes for Iron Man (Mark XLVI) and Team Iron Man heroes. All of the characters in Marvel Puzzle Quest have a team affiliation or in the case of villains, no team affiliation.

Not only this, but the event is set-up so that the players in their Alliances will benefit greatly if everyone picks a side and then sticks with it. Since there are two different events, Alliances have an opportunity to join either team for each event. But it would greatly benefit the entire Alliance if the group chooses a side giving each players contribution points towards their Alliance.
