ROH TV Coverage: Tag Team-Powered

It’s hard to argue with four enjoyable matches this week on ROH TV, even if they were all tag or six-man tag encounters. With Jay Lethal and Adam Cole promos and the return of Steve Corino on color commentary, ROH TV had the type of multi-faceted show they need more of.

With TNA for sale and ROH in the mix, the promotion has to prove on a consistent basis that they can entertain outside the ring as much as they do in the ring.

Matches:

The Cabinet: Rhett Titus and Kenny King w/Caprice Coleman vs. Guerrillas of Destiny: Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa: The All Night Express held their own against the Bullet Club’s up and coming tag team. Using high-flying antics and some trademark power, King and Titus were surprisingly in control until Tonga went nuts and took over. After they nearly won with a Powerbomb/Neckbreaker combination, the Tongans went on the defensive as Coleman interfered, but after the Guerrilla Warfare, the Tongans got the win.

Keith Lee and Shane Taylor vs. Ken Phoenix and Ricardo Rojas: A complete squash as Lee hit the Last Ride and Taylor finished off Phenix with a second rope Splash. After the match, Taylor called out War Machine. Rowe and Hanson then joined the party and shot some promo. Soon enough, a match was underway.

War Machine: Hanson and Rowe vs. Shane Taylor and Keith Lee: This was all physicality as the four of these guys just beat on one another. After a wild exchange of power moves, Rowe hit the Judo Throw and a wicked Knee on Lee, but Taylor nailed Rowe with a chair to throw the match out. Taylor and Lee then Powerbombed Rowe through a pair of chairs to end the segment.

ROH Tag Team Champions The Addiction: Christopher Daniels and Frank Kazarian and Kamaitachi vs. Roppongi Vice: Trent Barretta and Rocky Romero and IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada: Lots of back and forth action as Roppongi Vice and The Addiction utilized quick tags and Okada and Kamaitachi had their own little mini feud going on during the match. But after Daniels hit Barretta with the Angels Wings, The Addiction hit the best Piledriver ever for the win.
