WWE RAW Coverage: Goldberg’s Back, RAW Barely Floats

The return of Bill Goldberg and a great six-man tag match via the cruiserweight highlighted an otherwise lukewarm episode of RAW. With Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens starting the show, this week’s RAW began well enough and ended with a bang, it was just the middle that was weak. With squash matches and false finishes, the middle of the card has to step it up.

Matches:

Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho: These two faced off again on RAW, this time with no Universal Champion Kevin Owens by Jericho’s side, well at least for the majority of the match. Once Owens hit the ring, Rollins hit Jericho with the Flying Knee Lift and went for the Pedigree, but Y2J locked in the Walls of Jericho. Owens got involved but Rollins was eventually able to escape. Jericho then went for the Codebreaker, but Rollins hit the Pedigree for the win.

The Golden Truth: Goldust and R-Truth and Mark Henry vs. The Shining Stars: Primo and Epico and Titus O’Neil: Truth hit Primo with the Little Jimmy and made the blind tag to Henry, who beat O’Neil with the World’s Strongest Slam.

WWE World Tag Team Champion Big E. Langston w/ WWE World Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods vs. Sheamus w/Cesaro: Sheamus was too busy screwing around with Cesaro and his Facebook Live session that he allowed Langston to hit him with the Corner Clothesline and a Rollup for the win.

Bo Dallas w/Curtis Axel vs. Adrian Neville: Dallas got the win with the Roll the Dice and then took out his friend Axel on the outside.

Dana Brooke vs. Bayley: An awful match that Brooke win with the botched finish as Brooke failed to get her legs on the ropes during the pinfall.

Braun Strowman vs. The Mile High Trio: A waste of time as Strowman won with the Reverse Chokeslam. After the match, Sami Zayn hit the ring and challenged Strowman.

Karl Anderson w/Luke Gallows vs. Colin Cassady w/Enzo Amore: Cassady got the win with the East River Crossing in surprisingly quick order.

Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins, Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander vs. Brian Kendrick, Drew Gulak and Tony Nese: Lots of tags and offense in a fun match that saw Nese hit the 450 and Kendrick lock in the Bully Choke for the win.
