This was the beginning of a new era for Impact Wrestling with the Hardy Boys being written off the show and Alberto El Patron winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Add in appearances from Dutch Mantell, Bruce Pritchard and several more in the ring, this was certainly a spicy episode of Impact, but not one without its issues as well.
With a new World Champion and Tag Team Champs, TNA gets its fresh start, but may have alienated more than a handful of viewers in the process.
Matches:
Future Stars of Wrestling Tag Team Champions Reno Scum: Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend vs. The DCC: Kingston and Bram w/James Storm:Â A quick match that saw Reno Scum win with the Assisted Curb Stomp.
Braxton Sutter w/Allie vs. Caleb Konley vs. Marshe Rockett vs. DJ Z:Â A decent back and forth that ended once Allie took out Rocket on the outside, allowing Sutter to win with the Three-Handled Credenza.
Sienna vs. Rachael Ellering: Sienna got the win with The Silencer, but Ellering was solid, thanks to strikes, a nice Top Rope Leg Drop and an STO.
Alberto El Patron vs. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley: Ref bumps and the TNA Wold Championship coming into play took away some of the magic of this match. In the end, Patron got the win after he used the belt on Lashley.
