Impact Wrestling Coverage: El Patron Wins GFW Title

Plenty of storyline and a major title change fueled one of the best Impact Wrestling episodes in months. The bigger question is, can the brand keep it up? With storylines brewing in every title scene and a blossoming mid-card, the potential is certainly there.

Dezmond Xavier vs. Andrew Everett vs. Matt Sydal vs. Caleb Conley: Plenty of back and forth in an overall good opener that saw Everett steal a victory with his Frankendriver.

Hakim Zane and Idris Abraham vs. Laredo Kid and Garza Jr.: A decent tag match that saw The Kid win with a 450 after Garza Jr. took out Zane on the outside with a Moonsault.

Ava Storie vs Laurel Van Ness w/Kongo Kong: A disaster of a match that saw Van Ness with the Boot to the back of Stories’s head. Kong needs a bra.

Impact Grand Champion Moose vs. Marshee Rockett: Moose won with the Sit-out Chokeslam in Round Two. After the match, Moose was beat up by Chris Adonis, Eli Drake and Tyrus.

Angelina Love w/Davey Richards vs. Alisha Edwards w/Eddie Edwards: Another disaster as Love got DQed after she hit Alisha with a chain. After the match Richards and Love destroyed the Edwards family.

Global Force Wrestling Champion Magnus vs. Alberto El Patron: A solid match with plenty of ups and downs. Although Magnus escaped the Stomp and nearly won with a Powerbomb and a Cloverleaf, El Patron eventually got the win with the Armbreaker.
