WWE RAW Coverage: Boring

This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW was a complete waste of time. Lackluster matches and a clear lack of real storytelling were the driving force behind the mediocrity. It just felt like it didn’t matter. The three hours absolutely dragged and by the end, you were just happy it was over.

Matches:

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt: This was a fun one until Samoa Joe got involved and got the match thrown out. Soon enough Seth Rollins was involved and this match just became a setup for the RAW main event.

Akira Tozawa vs. Ariya Daivari: Tozawa made quick work of Daivari with his modified Senton/Cannonball Splash.

Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose vs. Elias Sampson: The Miz took out Sampson, which allowed Sampson to win via DQ. Sampson had a decent debut and eventually took out Ambrose with a nice Swinging Reverse DDT.

Finn Balor vs. Karl Anderson w/Luke Gallows: Anderson hit strikes and his Spinebuster, but Balor won with the Coup De Grace.

Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox w/Noam Dar: Banks won with the Double Knees from the second rope, but Fox beat on Banks after the bell.

Apollo Crews w/Titus O’Neill vs. Kalisto: Thanks to some miscommunication with O’Neil, Crews lost to Kalisto via the Salida Del Sole.

Winner Picks Extreme Rules Stipulation: WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Matt and Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus and Cesaro: The best match of the night up until that point, which saw Sheamus and Hardy go through their offensive repertoires. Hardy got the with The Twist of Fate. After the match, Matt announced the Tag Team title match would be a Steel Cage match.

Austin Aries vs. Tony Nese w/Cruiserweight Champion Neville: Aries got the hard-fought win with the Last Chancery and after the match, Neville locked in the Rings of Saturn on Nese as well.

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James: Bliss was dominant and won with the Spike DDT. After the match, Bliss nailed James with the kendo stick but Bailey made the save.

Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins: Joe got the submission win with the Kokina Clutch after some miscommunication with Reigns.
