Review Fix chats with singer Darla Beaux, who discusses her blossoming career, new single, Trippin’ On Tears and why you must keep your eyes on her.

Review Fix: How has your sound changed over the years?

Darla Beaux: I’ve matured and grown to love different styles and sounds,I think my music has really shown my growth. I’m still growing of course. That means my sound will probably change again, but I always stay connected to my roots.

Review Fix: What makes Trippin’ On Tears a special track?

Beaux: I think the story Trippin tells through the lyrics really make it special. It’s a somewhat unique experience but I think people have had an experience possibly similar to the lyrics.

Review Fix: Who do you think will enjoy it the most?

Beaux: I think anyone could relate to the story and it’s message, plus it’s got a really good sound that’s easy to groove to. Therefore, anyone could enjoy it. Even if they don’t relate to the story, they could still enjoy the music aspect of it.

Review Fix: Who inspires you the most musically? I honestly get inspired by everyone I hear.

Beaux: I think every artist has unique ideas and I love that, but if I had to pick a specific artist I’d have to say I’m very inspired by Kimbra. She’s amazingly talented and her ideology on the sound of her music impresses me greatly.

Review Fix: What are your long-term goals in music?

Beaux: My goal honestly is to share art with the world and have everyone who listens really feel something. So I guess my goals are whatever it takes to make that possible.

Review Fix: What do you think you have to do to make your dreams come true?

Beaux: Just keep going on the track I’m on. I’ve gotten this far, something must be working.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Beaux: I’m gonna keep working on new music. I’ve Also got an EP coming out soon. There will be a video for Trippin on Tears coming that’s super artistic and visually appealing. So that’s pretty exciting! Keep an eye out for that stuff.
